The Unkillable Soldier

The ancient god of war was known as The Unkillable Soldier, an avatar chosen by an unusually bloody-minded Administrator. This deity wielded a no-dachi known as Ovinrbaane that possessed the spirit of deities past. Ovinrbaane changed its wielder’s very form to match that of the original Unkillable Soldier, a qog by the name of Armag. Many wielded the blade over the years, from a variety of races, but all were warped by the blade into the form of the original Armag - this was the true meaning of the deity’s title, for he was not invincible, but rather would incarnate once more into every successor.

With each successive Unkillable Soldier, the blade itself took on some of the current deity’s original traits, and as they too were often drawn from the most violent of society, it became more steeped in blood and anger. So too did its power grow, warping the wielder ever faster.

Should a character not chosen as the Unkillable Soldier ever wield Ovinrbaane, it will warp them just as it would its rightful wielder; however, without the power of an Administrator to reinforce their psyche, they easily fall prey to the blade’s violent tendencies, and can readily be led astray into terrible acts of destruction and depravity. Only one chosen as the Unkillable Soldier can wield it safely, and with the destruction of the original Tower long ago, no Administrator exists who can create such a person.
