Path of the Eastern Star

Followers of the eastern star are consummate spellcasters, capable of casting more spells more frequently than their brethren.

Spell Focus

At 4th level, the disciple of the eastern star gains augmented casting abilities. They gain the ability to cast one additional spell of each level they can cast per day and, gain one spell known of each level they can cast. Their unarmed strike damage never progresses beyond 1d6 (1d4 for Small and 1d8 for Large)

Flexible Caster

At 7th level, the disciple of the eastern star gains the benefit of any one metamagic feat he qualifies for. Each day, when regaining his spell slots, he may select a new metamagic feat that he qualifies for to replace it. Using this metamagic feat does not increase spell casting time unless combined with other metamagic, though it still increases the spell's slot level as usual.

Augmented Spells

At 9th level, the disciple of the eastern star gains the ability to bolster the effects of his spells. A number of times per day equal to 1/2 shugenja level + Wis mod, he can add 1 to the DC or CL of a spell as part of its casting. He can instead spend 2 uses to increase both DC and CL by 1.

Metamagic Adapter

At 12th level, the disciple of the eastern star may select two metamagic feats for his Flexible Caster ability.

Mighty Spell

At 15th level, the disciple of the eastern star learns a single 7th or 8th level spell with no valuable material component from any list and may cast it once per day as a spell-like ability.

Metamagic Master

At 19th level, the disciple of the eastern star gains a third metamagic feat for his Flexible Caster ability.
