Shogun

Shogun are military leaders, often generals or warrior-statesmen. They excel at inspiring boldness in their subordinates and stinking doubt into their foes.

Bountiful Resolve (Ex)

This ability acts as a samurai’s resolve ability in all ways, except that he can use it once per day plus his Constitution modifier at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every two Shogun levels he possess beyond the first. He can also use this resolve in a new way.

Ignore the Pain (Ex): The shogun can order his allies to fight on, despite debilitating effects. This allows the shogun to use the Determined or Resolute resolve ability on an ally within 30 feet. This consumes two uses of resolve. The ally must be able to hear the shogun. This use of resolve is a language-dependent mind-affecting effect.

This ability replaces mount.

Ordered Strike (Ex)

At 3rd level, as a standard action, the shogun can order one ally within 30 feet to use their immediate action to attack a foe within reach with a melee weapon (or a ranged weapon if that ally has Snap Shot). The ally must make this attack if they are capable, though they may make a Will save (DC 10+1/2 samurai level+Cha mod) to resist the order. The attack is resolved at the ally’s full base attack bonus. The shogun must possess at least one point of resolve to use this ability. If the attack hits, the shogun regains one point of resolve (up to his daily maximum).

At 7th level, the shogun can spend a point of resolve to issue this order to an enemy in 30 feet, commanding them to attack one of their allies. The target may make a Will save to resist the order as above. The shogun does not regain a point of resolve if this attack hits.

At 11th level, using this ability on an ally becomes a move action.

This is a language-dependent, mind-affecting effect.

This ability replaces weapon expertise

Undying Determination (Ex)

At 4th level, the shogun's resolve will not allow him to capitulate in the face of incredible injury. He gains the Last Stand feat, even if he does not meet its prerequisites.

This ability replaces mounted archer.

Fierce Resolve (Ex)

At 6th level, the shogun can expend one use of his resolve as a swift action to add his Constitution modifier as a morale bonus to his melee damage rolls until the start of his next turn.

This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at level 6.

Into the Fray (Ex)

At 12th level, as a move action once per turn, the shogun can grant one ally in 30 feet a move action. The ally must take this move action immediately, and it provokes attacks of opportunity as normal. The shogun can spend resolve up to his Charisma modifier when he uses this ability; if he does this, he can designate one additional ally per point of resolve spent to gain this bonus move action.

This ability replaces demanding challenge.

Banzai (Ex)

At 20th level, the shogun can order his allies to charge into battle at his side. As a full-round action, he can spend two points of resolve to shout an order to his allies and then charge at an enemy; if this attack hits, it deals bonus damage equal to twice his Constitution modifier. All of his allies in 30 feet of his starting position may then make a charge attack against that same enemy as an immediate action (rather than a full-round action as normal). While the shogun's charge provokes attacks of opportunity as normal, his allies do not.

If the target is hit by both the shogun and at least one of his allies, it must make a Will save (DC 20+Cha mod) or be frightened for 1d4 rounds by the sudden rush of the attack. This is a mind-affecting effect.

This ability replaces last stand.
