Half-Kobold

Out on the frontier, hard people live hard lives, and need still harder folk to keep them safe. Nobody is harder than a half-kobold. Born to an unlikely union of human and kobold, these intrepid individuals invariably impel themselves into government or religious service, seeking the most dangerous places to serve and protect. Like the brightest flames, they burn twice as bright and die young, fighting in service of a greater cause. Half-Kobolds' maximum lifespan is currently unknown, as none have lived long enough to die of old age. They mature even faster than their kobold progenitors, and are considered to be adults at 1 year old, eager to get out and start their career. They reach middle age at 30, but old and venerable age are currently unknown, as none have lived that long. The average half-kobold male is 3'6" tall and weighs 55 lb, while females average 3'4" and 50 lb.

Half-Kobolds of the Brevan 9th Legion. Although new to the world, these intrepid people are inherently disciplined and well-organized, well-suited to lawful society. "The only bad half-kobold is a dead half-kobold" is rather a popular saying.

Half-Kobolds in Society

Half-Kobolds are universally loved by all for their fearless, unwavering, and dedicated service to their communities. Yet they take the praise and adulation heaped upon them with nothing but the greatest modesty, comments such as "I was but fulfilling my duty to the country" being their response, and their true sentiment. It is often said that the only bad half-kobold is a dead half-kobold.

Additional Note: Half-Kobolds can only be played when certain conditions are met in the campaign, or the campaign takes place after a certain point in time. See the DM's Guide for more detail.
