Weapon Descriptions

This page contains descriptions of special weapons that have additional rules to them, beyond the weapon special qualities. The weapons appear in the same order as the weapon table.

Spring Blade: This wrist-mounted device has two triggers. One deploys the blade for melee combat, while the other launches it at a distant target. It is a swift action to activate either trigger. A blade in melee mode can't be launched. Re-cocking the device requires a standard action. This device grants a +4 bonus on sleight of hand checks to conceal the fact it is a weapon.

Bayonet: This blade has a socket that fits around the barrel of a two-handed firearm. It enables the wielder to make melee attacks using the bayonet. It is a move action to affix or remove a bayonet. Ranged attacks with the bayonet fixed are slightly more difficult than usual, and suffer a -1 penalty.

Lasso: Little more than a rope tied with a noose at the end, a lasso is useless for dealing damage. However, it can be used to grapple creatures at a distance. As a standard action, make an attack roll against the target's CMD. On a success, the target is grappled. You can alternatively perform a Grapple combat maneuver, gaining the lasso's enhancement bonus as a bonus to the grapple check. On subsequent turns, you can drag them toward you up to 15 feet if you successfully maintain the grapple, and can attempt to pin them when they are adjacent to you. A lasso only works on creatures no more than one size category larger than the user. Resetting a lasso is a full-round action.

Gunblade: Structured as a more robust saber, this weapon has a catch on the grip. When depressed, the blade folds back, revealing a four-chambered revolver that can be used to make ranged attacks. A flick of the wrist locks the blade back into place, allowing for melee attacks. The gunblade can be shifted between its melee and ranged forms as an immediate action.

Scorpion: This one-handed revolver shotgun is named for its small size but sharp sting.

Gunaxe: This weapon consists of a long-barreled shotgun with an axe head affixed near the end of the barrel. The wielder can switch grips to attack with either the shotgun or the axe component as an immediate action. This weapon can't be fitted with a bayonet.
