Exploiter

Contrary to traditional study, an exploiter forgoes the tried and true methods of haemotheurgy to develop and refine unique arcane exploits. Some haemotheurges regard this blatant exploitation of arcane magic as somehow “cheating,” but most exploiters believe this prejudice is close-minded and overly traditional.

Esoteric Pool (Su)

An exploiter has an innate pool of magical energy that she can draw upon to fuel her exploits and enhance her spells. The exploiter 's arcane reservoir can hold a maximum amount of magical energy equal to 3 + 1/2 the exploiter's level. Each day, when preparing spells, the exploiter's arcane reservoir is refilled. She can also regain these points through some exploits. The arcane reservoir can never hold more points than the maximum amount noted above; points gained in excess of this total are lost.

Points from the arcane reservoir are used to fuel many of the exploiter's powers. In addition, the exploiter can expend 1 point from her arcane reservoir as a free action whenever she casts a haemotheurge spell. If she does, she can choose to increase the caster level by 1 or increase the spell’s DC by 1. She can expend no more than 1 point from her reservoir on a given spell in this way.

This ability replaces bloodline powers.

Convert Spells (Su)

At 1st level, an exploiter can expend an available haemotheurge spell slot as a move action, making it unavailable for the rest of the day, just as if he had used it to cast a spell. Doing this adds a number of points to his esoteric pool equal to the level of the spell slot consumed. He cannot consume cantrips (0 level spells) in this way. Points gained in excess of the pool's maximum are lost.

Alternatively, the exploiter may expend points from his esoteric pool as a move action to recover one expended spell slot of a level equal to the number of points spent. For example, he may spend 2 points to recover an expended 2nd-level spell.

Regardless of which way the conversion is done, the exploiter can use this ability once per day, gaining one additional use per day at 7th level and every 6 levels thereafter.

This ability replaces bloodline feats.

Esoteric Exploit (Su)

At 3rd level and every 2 levels thereafter, the exploiter gains a single arcanist exploit. The exploiter uses his haemotheurge level as his arcanist level for determining the effects and DCs of his arcanist exploits. The effects of most exploits are determined by the exploiter's Charisma modifier.

Starting at 11th level, the exploiter may learn a greater exploit in place of a normal one.

This ability replaces bloodline spells.
