Eye for Detail (Ex)
A detective gains a bonus equal to half his level on Knowledge (local), Perception, and Sense Motive checks, as well as Diplomacy checks to gather information (minimum +1).
This ability replaces implanted knowledge.
Litany of the Sleuth (Su)
A detective gains the following unique Songs:
True Confession: At 5th level, a detective can use his Song to force a creature to revealing its secrets. The lyrics of this song demand answers to a specific question. The Detective gains a +1 bonus to Sense Motive, Intimidate, and Perception checks while under the effects of this Song, increasing by 1 for every 3 Choir Mage levels. Harmony: This Song has no Harmony effect. Purge: The target must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 Choir Mage level + Cha modifier). Success renders the target immune to this power for 24 hours. On a failed save, a liar inadvertently reveals the lie and the truth behind it. A creature under a charm or compulsion reveals the nature of its enchantment and who placed it (if the creature knows) and gains a new saving throw to break free from the enchantment. This ability is language-dependent and requires audible components. Flipsphere: As Purge, but on a successful saving throw, the subject takes 5d6 magical slashing damage if they tell a deliberate lie (no save), and again each time they lie for the next minute.
This ability replaces the New Song gained at 5th level.
Show Yourselves: At 10th level, a detective can use a quick command to compel creatures to reveal themselves when hiding. He spends one stack of Crescendo from his pool as a move action, and all enemies within 30 feet must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 Choir Mage level + Cha modifier). If they fail, on their next turn they must cease using Stealth, attempt to unlock and open doors between themselves and the detective, and dismiss, suppress, or dispel if necessary magical effects that grant invisibility or any other form of concealment from the detective. They must prioritize these actions over any others, and do as many of the actions as possible on their turn. at 13th level, this is reduced from a move action to a swift action.
This ability replaces the New Song gained at 10th level.
